We started writing it two years ago, and staggered recording and mixing over 5 months. the title came first. This is the first full length record we've made without a grammy - nominated producer, without contracts and new york and professionals. the biggest challenge we've faced as a band, and the worst thing about leaving the world of corporate-funded labels, was knowing that sooner or later we'd come to this point; having to make a way better record for a way worse budget..
and i'm beyond proud to say that i think thats exactly what us and dom have achieved. we've made the record that sounds like we do in our heads, and we made it in our practice room and round his parents house. there's nothing we'd change or tweak, nothing we'd rewrite or remove. it's exactly as perfect/imperfect as we are, and if it fails IRL, then it does so as proof we just aren't good enough.
heavy
to further build up dramatic suspense, this is now a thing. Us and our talented friends, we've been making a bunch of little promo videos. There'll be more added every week until release day, by which time you'll have heard loads of clips and full new songs set to whatever's been taking our fancy, as well as exclusive stuff and shards from a hard disk full of tour footage. don't expect any recurring theme, other than an insight into what passes through our heads every day. only you know if thats good or not.
so let the campaigning begin.
our next release:
(don't) show us your fangs / the hand that slaps you back
